A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to invalid email addresses under the very same domain name. For example, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get email messages from mates or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all mailbox without difficulty in case you have a shared hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet really intuitive, and it will permit you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a few clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have set up will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one you will notice a mini "Catch-all" button. Clicking it once will activate this option, clicking on it once again will disable it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you’ve already got a different one with this feature enabled or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-built Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we’re offering will permit you to create a catch-all email mailbox with ease even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All you have to do to accomplish that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each email address that you’ve created with your domains in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will let you know if you have already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you do not need this feature anymore, you can remove it by clicking again on the same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
